Paris, 5th<\/sup> July 2023<\/em><\/strong> – Germany based GOLDBECK\u00a0SOLAR Group (\u201cGOLDBECK\u00a0SOLAR\u201d), a global leader in renewable energy solutions, announced the financial close of a \u20ac44\u00a0million HoldCo debt facility with RGREEN\u00a0INVEST, a renowned French fund manager specializing in energy transition and climate change adaptation infrastructure projects. The funds, provided by RGREEN\u00a0INVEST’s esteemed short-term senior debt fund, INFRABRIDGE\u00a0III, will be utilized to support the construction of four ground-mounted solar PV projects. These projects are strategically located in Canada and Chile, with a combined capacity of 69\u00a0MWp and 24\u00a0MWp respectively.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Canadian projects, situated in Alberta, boast capacities of 61 MWp and 8 MWp respectively and form part of the joint venture between GOLDBECK SOLAR and Pathfinder Clean Energy. The projects in Chile, located in the B\u00edo-B\u00edo Province, have a capacity of 12 MWp each. The Chilean projects are expected to benefit from the Peque\u00f1os Medios de Generaci\u00f3n Distribuida (PMGD) program, while the Canadian projects will initially operate on a “fully merchant” basis, allowing GOLDBECK SOLAR to capitalize on market dynamics.<\/p>\n

RGREEN INVEST, a French independent fund manager and \u201cEntreprise \u00e0 mission\u201d since 2021, announces attaining B Corp certification, a globally recognized designation for companies dedicated to meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.<\/strong><\/p>

B Corps are for-profit organizations that develop their growth strategy around a business model whose activity benefits not only all stakeholders but the Common Good.<\/p>

The certification is conferred by the global non-profit network B Lab. Using the B Impact Assessment, B Lab\u00a0evaluates companies on a set of criteria divided into five categories: Community, Customers, Environment, Governance and Workers.<\/p>

The assessment process measures a company's social and environmental impact by analyzing its operations, business model, internal policies and partnerships, as well as the impact of its activity on its workers, customers, communities and the environment. Social contributions, indicators used to track and measure impacts and the methodology used are closely examined to ensure a positive, tangible and sustainable outcome.<\/p>

To be certified, companies must obtain a minimum of 80 points. By achieving certification, companies commit to continuous improvement and undergo a reassessment every three years to ensure they continue to meet the rigorous and evolving B Lab standards.\u00a0<\/p>

There are currently over 6,400 B Corp certified companies, including 200 in France, spanning more than 160 industries across 89 countries.<\/p>
